When I was 10 I went to my first Keeper Culture camp to pick up my brother. There, I realized I wanted to be a goalkeeper. Through that want, I met Trevor Stiles and his keeper culture.
As a goalkeeper coach, Trevor is simply fantastic. I could think of many fancy ways to say it, but simple is best. I've been both a keeper being trained by him, and a coach working alongside, and how Trevor imparts his knowledge and wisdom to keepers of any age of ability is amazing to watch and he a part of. I can confidently say that without his coaching, I would not have been able to play anywhere close to professional or varsity level. As a goalkeeper coach, Trevor is simply top class.
Suprisingly however, where Trevor has had the most impact on me has been as a person, not as a goalkeeper. I have known Trevor since I was 10, and I can say that he and the culture he built as his keeper sessions shaped me as a person. His high standards, knowledge, and passion for everything have set an example for me and many others who have met him. He has always been there for me and so many others, offering us support or guidance or a needed push. Trevor made me and many others very good goalkeepers, but he helped shape us into great people. Without him, I would not be the goalkeeper or person I am.
